KYE ARNOT
Kye Arnot grew up in the Yarra Valley region of Victoria, and like many young creatives, it was the experience of the COVID-19 lockdowns that awakened his musical urge — he taught himself guitar and began writing songs to turn his poetry into melodies. He describes his early setup simply: just himself, a guitar, and a microphone, gathering his thoughts and emotions into song.
Kye calls his style “folk-ish” — rooted in traditional folk guitar/singing but re-imagined through a contemporary indie lens. He lists Australian artists like Missy Higgins, Angie McMahon and Matt Corby as key influences in shaping his sensibility. His work explores themes of love, heartbreak, self-discovery, and the growing-up experience.
